Pursuant to the Urban areas and Cities Act (amended), 2019 and the Public Appointments (County Approval Acts 2017), the Committee on Lands and Physical Planning under stewardship of Hon Khadija Idriss, Specially Elected, has concluded the vetting of the Nominees for Bura Municipality Board Members.
Bura Municipality was inaugurated by H.E Gov. Nathif Jama, During the 20th October 2023, Mashujaa day celebration held in Bura town, Fafi Sub County.
Bura Municipality becomes the Fourth in the County after Garissa Township, Masalani and Dadaab Municipalities and it is the third to be inaugurated in Governor Nathif’s tenure.
The Committee is expected to report back to the house Next week when it resumes its sittings.
The Nominees submitted by the Governor to the clerk’s office and vetted today were as follows
