COMMITTEES
A County Assembly Committee is a group of Members of the County Assembly designated to do the detailed work of the County Assembly. The Members are expected to work together toward a common goal, and may work without the restrictions of formality. Section 14 (1)(b) of the County Governments Act, 2012

ABOUT THE ASSEMBLY
Article 176 of the Constitution establishes the County Assembly which shall consist of members elected by the registered voters of the wards; each ward constituting a single member constituency, on the same day as a general election of Members of Parliament, being the second Tuesday in August, in every fifth year;
COUNTY ASSEMBLY SERVICE BOARD
(i) Is created by Section 12 of the County Governments Act, 2012, as a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal;
(ii) The County Assembly Service Board comprise four members – the Speaker who is also the chair; the Majority and Minority Leaders and one non – member.
LEADERSHIP
The Garissa County Assembly Leadership comprises of The Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Majority Leader, Minority Leader, Deputy Majority Leader, Deputy Minority Leader, Majority Chief Whip, Minority Chief Whip, Deputy Majority Chief Whip, Deputy Minority Chief Whip.
